You really do deserve a break. Sometimes I am amazed at how often you are able to post all that great new stuff. The design sponge site is great, but don’t let it burn you out.

Yay for taking care of yourself! I second James’ post: don’t burn out. Have a lovely relaxing rest and take a cue from those smart kitties: a little play, a little napping, and, even if you love your work, not too much working all the time.

I am always a bit sad when you don’t post. But I’m even sadder when I hear that you’re unhappy/tired. So rest up, drink up, and return to us ONLY when you feel 1000% better!

I’m not trying to sound like a jerk, but I swear you take a lot of vacations. I’m not even saying you don’t deserve it. I just think it should be noted that you get to go on vacation a lot.

vacation means vacation from the blog, not like, tahiti or something.

i still have a full time day job, weekly newspaper column and freelance work to do. i’m merely taking a 2 day break from posting.

and for the record, it felt pretty jerky to me.

that was the lamest comment anyone could have posted. It did make you sound like a jerk, and it is no one’s business how much time any one takes off. (unless of course we are talking about our dear President of the USA…now there is someone who takes far too much time off!) Perhaps you need a few days off yourself, to contemplate your thoughts before you post them and come across as a moron.

This is my first post, ’cause I never felt like it before. I’m a big fan for your column and appreciate your effort a lot for almost a year now. I felt the need to encourage your work, because I felt like jj’s comment hurt you. Don’t let those kind of opinions take the wind of your sails. I come a long way every day of the week to check your new posts, so if it feels you with inspiration, know that you have fans even abroad (and I appologize for every grammer mistake or “funny english”, my mother tounge is not English).

You are great. Israeli guy is great. I should have posted sooner. I read your blog daily and my home is cozier for it. I feel like you are helping me develop this fabulous sense of style that I never knew I had. Never forget that for every post of appreciation on here, there are 10 more of us lurking around and thankful for all your blogging time and efforts. You do plenty - take all the rest you need!
