brooklyn design guide

map060424_750

i’ve been getting about a dozen emails a day for 2 years now asking for recommendations for great design shopping in brooklyn. after a few years of sending the same email over and over ac suggested i create an online guide to design in brooklyn. so, last night i sat down and made a comprehensive online guide to design shopping in my favorite borough by neighborhood. so CLICK HERE to see the guide- there are links to maps, suggestions for eating and transportation done by neighborhood and i’ll be updating and changing as shops come and go. want to visit but don’t have a lot of time? i suggest choosing the williamsburg or park slope guides- they have the most bang for your buck in my opinion. enjoy! [this guide will always be on the left side of the blog in the button marked 'brooklyn design guide']

So great! I actually just asked about this on Ask Metafilter and used you as an example of what I’m looking for. Here are their suggestions, some overlap which is a great sign. (http://ask.metafilter.com/mefi/45133)

Thanks for opening up Brooklyn AND great design to those of us in the hinterlands.
