oliver

we’re in the process of trying to find new dining chairs for our docksta table so i’ve been on the prowl lately…i love the soft grey/brown fabric on these gus ‘oliver’ chairs. the have such a nice sturdy look with clean modern lines. you can pick up a pair of chairs right here at 2modern for $590.

Those are great chairs. Since you like those Anthropologie chairs so much, maybe you could get some similar ones and upholster them with cool fabric. I founds some and suggested that on my blog, hope that offers some inspiration. Happy hunting!

I thought you were getting Bertoia wire chairs? I see the Bertoia chairs used with pads to increase their comfort – you could always have seat pads custom made with a fabric of your choosing to personalize them a bit.

ac vetoed them due to the comfort level. getting cushions didn’t sell him on them…so i’m looking for something softer ;)

i’ve been looking for dining room chairs for months now. i’ve seen the oliver chair in person and they are really beautiful. we have the tavola table and i’m having a hard time finding something to go with the table in our bungalow style home.
keep us posted on your chair hunt. i could use some inspiration!

i’m having the opposite problem – tearing my hair out trying to find a table that is light wood, modern and not a gazillion dollars to go with 4 ikea chairs i have.

too bad the bertoias got axed…i quite like them, though understand they lose some of the appeal with cushions.

Bertoia actually break. Those are NOT worth $590.
