copenhagen bookstore

designer susan cerra at the kitchen designer sent over these beautiful photos of a modern bookstore in copenhagen denmark. i love the bold artwork on the walls, the throws over the reading chairs and the way the pendant lamps hang down low to light books on the table. looks like a nice place to relax with a cup of tea and read.

It is one block past Store Kogensgade, at the start of Kongens Nytorv. Walk on Gothersgade, make a right on to Borgergade, and it is at the end of the first block. Here is the link: http://www.tranquebar.net/ It is a wonderful store!

The black interior is amazing – who would have thought? I love Danish design – I hope I can get there soon :o)

I must be honest, If i found myself lost in this store i would be very happy. The use of black is a big no in most cases because of it’s depth but for the good it makes this room come to life. Warm & snug, Well done. It’s a beautiful space!
