pink and black

d*s reader meagan goldberg is a graphic designer who lives my fantasy life. she decided she wanted to paint her office bright pink and well, she did. i have dreams about painting several rooms of our house a soft pink but i just don’t think it would fly with ac. meagan however designed her dream pink office and sent it along after she read the pink + black article i wrote for etsy. she was kind enough to share a few extra pictures and i’m so happy that someone out there can have a bright pink room if they want to. great work meagan- thanks for sharing!

I love that Blacksmith sign in the second photo. Curious what the story is behind that, and where did Megan find it?

Also love the grey on black chair in the same photo.

lekkercraft - the sign is a reproduction by ethan allen. i think it may still be available online! you might want to check their site. its not a place i usually look but my mom found it for me. the chair and 2 matching ottomans in front of my desk are from west elm’s holiday collection last year (i was able to score them on sale!). it’s the modern wingback chair and i think they still make it in other fabrics.

One wall of my living room is bright fuchsia with black-and-white art accents: woodblock prints I bought off the street in Cape Town, and some of my Thomas Paul melamine collection. SFGirlbybay is also getting ready to do some pink painting…so Grace, tell AC the pressure is on!

I love it. My fiance and I have been painting our first place recently and I too have a pink room, but the pink is only on one wall. I used the same cool gray we used in the main rooms in the house on the other walls. We are also putting pink on the back wall of the closets.

His room is a gray blue. (Yes, we have our own rooms.)

Hi there, i’m so curious as to where you found that white desk. i’ve been searching for one just like it and have had zero luck. i was beginning to think it did not exist! would you mind telling me where you found it… and are the shelves from the same spot?
thanks so much!

may I ask where the george nelson ball clock is from? my room is themed very similarly - pink walls and black/white bedding and a very dramatic black velvet headboard :P I would love to add that clock to my room!

That white desk is West Elm. I’ve wanted to get one too, but the size seems to small to me at 48×24 inches.

How practical is the desk?

anonymous - the desk is the west elm parsons desk in white (it has a glossy finish). i think its a great size, i don’t like a ton of stuff on my desk, hence the shelves! the shelves are from ikea’s expedit collection (there are tons of options) and they match pretty well.

alissa- your room sounds fabulous! the clock is from target.com. its the sunburst clock with black accents (i think they have it in all silver too). here’s the link (and ignore what the target reviewer said, this clock is well-made, easy to put together and gorgeous): http://www.target.com/gp/detail.html/sr=1-1/qid=1190298729/ref=sr_1_1/602-0065609-3415828?ie=UTF8&asin=B000KDZVEC
