so beautiful! and the first pic reminds me (again) how much I miss my mushroom lamp from the 70’s—where did it go?

Ah! I’ve been collecting aboriginal paintings for years now and I’m constantly in awe of the colours and the detail. Many of them have fascinating stories of the dream sequences that inspired them.

Our Indigenous Artists of Australia, are in a genre of their own… The Dreamtime philosophy, is really quite beautiful. The contemporary artists, expressing their culture, have such an amazing sense of colour.

here is a website, that may be of interest to anyone, wanting to buy, or research, some really talented Indigenous Artists, from Oz.

I visited this Gallery in Darwin in July & could have bought alot of beautiful things!.

I have only discovered Design Sponge, & thanks for ALL this delicious inspiration … I love this website….

tks,
Prue, Sydney, Oz.

I have loved Aboriginal Art for many years. Nancy Crow (fiberartist) has an amazing collection at her Barn, where there are quilting and surface design workshops – if anyone ever goes there. The art is so inspiring to the students.
Thank you for sharing it.
Peace.
