there are so many great art shows coming up this month i can hardly stand it. first up, san francisco’s lisa congdon will be showing a new body of work at the firefly gallery in venice, california. “charming creatures” will open this friday, november 2 with a party from 6-10pm. lisa describes the show as “an exploration of natural beauty from the depths of the ocean” using vintage paper, gouache and pencil to create a colorful collection of paintings and collages. if you’re in the area be sure to stop by. you can find more information on lisa right here, more images from the collection here and directions to firefly right here.
