I thought I’d share the work of Sydney based architectural firm Cracknell Lonergan. Theirs is a multidisciplinary firm that specialises in not only architecture but environmental design, heritage conservation and exhibition design. They promote a culturally sensitive and innovative approach to design.

I guess I’m highlighting this work as a counterpoint to the high end gloss and glam we love to share on desire to inspire and that we will be featuring during our stint as guest bloggers here. The images featured are from a number of projects but I guess it’s this kitchen that is tugging at my heart. Medium density fibre board, floral laminate, plywood and wing nuts. Simple elements that together create a modern, indie feel, cosy for espresso and biscotti with the paper. Nothing is precious about their work but the sense of home shines through.
