Miranda July

Miranda July’s collaborative website learning to love you more is now avaiable in book form! For those of you who do not know the talented July, you should definitely check her out. She is an artist, film maker ( Me You and Everyone We Know), author ( No one should be here more than you) and performance artist among other things. Learning to Love You More is both a web site and series of non-web presentations comprised of work made by the general public in response to assignments that are given by Miranda July and Harrell Fletcher. While in grad scool I participated in one and really enjoyed it. Some of the projects include: make an encouraging banner, record the sound that is keeping you up, take a picture of the sun and take a picture of strangers holding hands. What are you waiting for, go visit the site right here. She is one of my favorites.
