i love jen corace’s work. like, love love. if i could be reborn as an artist, i’d probably want to come back with a style like jen’s. she was the first artist who’s work that i remember being really drawn to. her work, though a bit meloncholy at times, grabs me in a way that makes me want to sell everything i own just to buy up her entire collection. while i’m still fighting the urge to sell the couch and buy one of her pieces i’m glad that people like if’n books produce prints and books by jen at a pricepoint that doesn’t require furniture-selling. deb at if’n sent over jen’s new “smacker” journal” which is part of a hand-numbered edition of 100 with hand screen-printed covers. if’n even cases each one in with high-quality text blocks sewn in “fancy-pants italy”. if’n calls the journal a ’smacker’ because, “[of] the aesthetic punch it packs in its small size, but also for its ability to double as a harmless smacking tool for discourteous or bothersome cohorts.” you can pick up a corace smacker right here for $16. enjoy!
[if you love jen like i do you might like her podcast from last year. she's so cool.]
