wayne pate

wayne
good shape design artist wayne pate and his wife designer rebecca taylor have one heck of a gorgeous home. they live around the corner from me in park slope and have been kind enough to share little sneak peeks into their house before. today wayne sent over another shot of their study, which is simply beautiful. i love the no-fuss shelves and the small topiaries underneath. what a fun way to use the awkward space below full-wall shelving. you can click here to view more of wayne and rebecca’s home. [thanks, wayne!]

speaking of beautiful, i’m so thrilled to welcome anna spiro of absolutely beautiful things to the d*s guest blog. she’s got two posts up already and is well on her way to some spectacular coverage of the australian design scene. i’m so thrilled to see australia getting more attention- it’s well deserved and i’m excited to hear a local’s point of view on things. click here to check it all out.

I love the use of the floor space under the shelves. Those little plants are so cute.

What a great space!
I would love to know the source for the tray on the table with the arm.

meredith, it looks like vintage Piero Fornasetti. Try eBay.

The tray is Fornasetti. Lots of good Fornasetti things on ebay.
