magazine storage guide

mags1.JPG
there are few things i love more than a fresh stack of magazines. despite how easy (and earth-friendly) my favorite blogs and websites are, nothing beats a beautiful glossy shelter magazine with lots of full-sized pictures to inspire. the problem is, my love of magazines leads to stacks (and stacks and stacks…) around the house. if you’re like me and like to save selected volumes, you may need somewhere to store your favorite copies. so, at the request of d*s readers julie and christina i built a magazine storage guide for those of us who love and keep magazines in our homes (i think it’s safe to assume that’s most of us here). unlike furniture guides, the prices of the products in this guide are much easier on the wallet and are perfect for a wide range of budgets. i’ve included storage bags, boxes, files, shelves and wall systems. i hope you’ll find something in the group that’s right for your home. enoy! just click here to view the full selection of 40 products (or click “read more” below)

Thank you! I told my husband that something I NEED for Christmas is magazine storage. I see about 3 or 4 on this list that are perfect for me. :)

All of these are great solutions! Not to mention great gift ideas for anyone - especially that “person who has everything”. The Paper Source files make me thing I could cover my cheap-o Ikea cardboard files with some nice paper…

thanks for the great list. do you recommend any of these for blanket storage/display? a lot of these would be perfect for my quilts and throws beside the couch, if only they were about 25% bigger. . . maybe another roundup for later this fall?

Perfect - I’ve actually been looking for something to store my yarn collection, and a lot of these do double duty!

A great guide! I second Lilly on the TV stands - I’ve been in TV stand limbo for what seems like ever.

Some of us still have the old pre-plasma televisions, so need a deeper stand. Thanks.

I made a coffee table that fits the magazines straight into the table, and sit flush with the surface.

Its on my website under products

Love these ideas, especially because they are fashionable and trendy! I have two large dogs and if I don’t get my magazines off the floor, they turn in to chew toys. Thanks for the awesome ideas!

Very cool. I came across this post while looking for a large barbed-wire style storage basket I spotted in an image for a sofa - it could be used for magazines too, I think.

I am looking for magazine storage with preservation in mind. Can anyone recommend anything?
