winter upholstery

162.jpg
when the weather gets colder i tend to turn into myself and spend a lot of time at home working on small craft projects or larger things like reupholstering stools, simple chairs, etc. so the bookmarks on my computer tend to be one long list of fabrics i want to check out. some of my favorites this week are from repro depot. i love the “chelsea morning gate” pattern in oh, just about every color they offer. i’d love both of these colorways on a bench with white tapered legs. swoon. i’m still on the hunt for an affordable ikat though- i’ll let you know if i find one. stay tuned for a fantastic sneak peek later today…

Grace, do you know of any wallpaper designs similar to Chelsea Morning Gate? I’d love to paper my entry hall walls with a design along these lines…. I’d love to know if you have any suggestions (or your faves)?

i always catch my breath in disappointment when i click on a gorgeous pattern in the “new arrivals” only to see it’s regular weight fabric and not upholstery weight. otherwise that rouge pick would be a great choice for a chair i have been hoarding. as far as ikat goes, don’t forget to google for saris. for the amount of fabric you’d get, the prices are good. (okay, not that one, but some of the other ones!)
