before and after: chair re-do

d*s reader gwendolyn sent in this fantastic before and after project. she found the chairs on the side of the road; the turquoise vynil seats and green enamel were melting together so she stripped the green off and applied a danish oil finish to the oak. then she added foam padding to the cushions because there was only a bizarre layer of wood pulp covering the seat under the vynil. after she added the foam, gwendolyn staple-gunned fabric over it and was finished! this definitely inspired me to do a little cruising for curb-side treasures while i’m home for the holidays. thanks for sharing, gwendolyn!

ditto! where’s the fabric from? i have some dining chairs i’m doing the same thing with and i am absolutely stuck on the fabric…

I’m pretty sure that fabric is Waverly Essence in Quartz. And it looks really sweet on those chairs!
