i thought i’d go a little crazy and do two before and after columns this week. as we’re nearing the holiday break i have a few great sneak peeks saved up so some weekly columns will get double and triple doses over the next week and a half. but for today i wanted to highlight this incredible diy makeover sent in by d*s reader kim rygiel of papericecream.
kim had three orange dvd shelves from ikea but just wasn’t feeling the neon anymore. so she decoupaged them using two rolls of martha stewart crafts wrapping paper in endive flourish. a small jar of mod podge was all it took and now the shelves look clean, modern and delightfully feminine.
quick note: kim had to take the shelves apart to get the doors off, but says it was relatively easy. i hope this will inspire you to makeover some of your own ikea furniture!
