Step 4: Cook over high heat until it reaches 240 degrees F
Step 5: Poor hot sugar into gelatin mix, then add 1/4 tsp salt
Step 6: Mix 5-10 minutes until very thick
Step 7: Add 1 tsp peppermint extract, 1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Step 8: Pour into pan, and smooth out
Step 9: Cover with parchment paper and let sit out overnight
Step 10: Cut into squares with scissors
Step 11: Coat with equal parts cornstarch and powdered sugar

Oh my goodness, how dang adorable is this video! I read in Sunset this month, Nov 2008 about it. I thought how great to give gifts of smores ... homemade marshmallows and chocolate and grahams. So I grabbed my 8 and 13 year old and we pulled up the video. We all watched together and bought all the ingredients needed today. Now we are thinking about dipping our grahams in chocolate as well. Wish us luck!
We live in Sacramento and I look forward to visiting your shop in the city!
Thank you!

I just made these exactly according to the recipe, and they turned out great!! the only thing I would have done differently is swirled a little red/pink food coloring in there right at the end, so they would have a candy cane kind of look. I put them in pink swirly transparent bags instead. Yum!
