handmade wilderness

i know i’m not supposed to be writing about deer heads anymore but i really love this paper version by jennifer khoshbin at rubyslounge on etsy. it would be so fun to think about using colorful gift wrap or wallpaper to do a mache-style wall mounting, deer or not. maybe just to cover a plaque or something small that would bring visual interest to a space. [you can see more of jennifer's beautiful work right here- the paper pieces are fantastic]

I think deer heads will always be “in” although non-fleshy materials have the most appeal… I like Cardboard Safari!

How funny…I had that article on my mind today too. And for my room of the day, I posted a room with a animal skin rug and an antler chandelier. Despite that article, I think those things are still fabulous, and I love to see rooms where they’re used.

And I love THIS deer head! So whimsical

Yes, but excellent find. Thank you for sharing! The fact that it is handmade makes it even cooler.
