mantle-scapes

dsc04842.jpg
oh, to have a mantle to decorate! this simple but beautiful mantle-scape from caroline’s home (found via abbey) is just too beautiful for words. i love the simplicity of the branches and photos against the soft green wall and decorative molding. and the pinecones? perfect for the holidays- i love winter decorations that feel woodsy and not too “red and green”.

I agree. This is just stunning. Powerful. Sensual. Natural. Love it.

This is so lovely! It might also be nice on a wall behind a bed, or even over a sideboard as a natural sculptural element. Perfect for those of use without fireplaces! : ( I want one!

I’m down in Buenos Aires and it’s amazing how much this store “Rapsodia” reminds me of your style, the decor is wonderful and the clothes are quite nice too.

We don’t have a fireplace either, but we do have a small gas heater attached to a wall, and we are going to build a shelf above it to kind of create a “mantle”! So then we can decorate it like one!

love it. but what type of wood branch is it> the tecture that it lends really sets the look. a plain pine branch would do it unjustice, wouldn’t you agree.
