if d*s ended tomorrow and everything came to a close the single most important thing i’d take away from this whole experience would be the incredible people and artists i’ve gotten to know through the site. as many beautiful things as we’ve seen over the past few years there are a handful of artists whose work continues to stick with me and hold a special place in my heart. and julia rothman is one of those artists. in addition to being an incredible artist she’s one heck of a cool girl and i’m consistently impressed with the new projects she’s taking on. the latest? a fantastic new eco-friendly card line and gift wrap collection for hello! lucky.

julia’s collection for hello! lucky includes eight cards ($4.75 each) and four gift wrap designs (the gift wrap is available at the end of february). each card is letterpressed and printed on 40% post-consumer waste recycled cardstock in hello! lucky’s san francisco studio. the wrap will be also be (offset) printed in the US on 40% post-consumer waste recycled paper. julia created all the illustrations for the stationery and wrap and collaborated with hello! lucky for the overall designs. i love the colors in the collection and i cannot wait to see them in person. which will hopefully be soon because online shopping is already available right here. congrats to julia on the wonderful new collection!
