orange and grey

red-faucet-4-2.jpg
there’s something so lovely about the combination of orange and grey. and since today is all about the kitchen and cooking (ok, well, the main post is) i thought it would be fun to oggle this beautiful dark orange/ed faucet. designed in 1961 by arne jacobsen, the vola kv1 was used in this beautiful kitchen remodel by DAP stockholm, seen via remodelista. i love the contrast between the neutral wallpaper (cole and son’s “woods”) and that rich color. makes me want to rip out all that white in the kitchen and install a glossy turquoise colored sink.

orange and gray is fantastic! so fantastic in fact that i’m using the colours in my wedding! the whole spectrum really–from marigold through to orange and pale dove gray through to pewter. it’s going to be beautiful! (i hope)

I think the orange and grey complement each other, they would look good on corporate livery too.

I am just about to fit a new kitchen, so I will seriously consider red and grey.

Grey background with red fittings is nice, but the other way around I think doesn’t work, as I don’t think you want too much red.

I think this is nice if the grey is not too dark. Going for a medium or light grey is the way forward.
