sneak peek: diane toepfer of ferdinand home

diane 1
a few years ago maria of port2port press told me about a wonderful home store in maine called ferdinand home. ever since then i’ve wanted to take a trip up to portland just to check out this much loved shop that carries a beautiful selection of clothing jewelry, papergoods, and vintage homewares. since i haven’t been able to make it up yet, i thought it would be fun to see what ferdinand owner diane toepfer’s home looks like in the meantime. and thankfully diane was kind enough to share photos of her lovely 800 sqft bungalow in south portland that she shares with her husband ron of peapod recordings (peapod’s logo is so sweet). anne compiled this wonderful sneak peek so i hope you’ll enjoy it- as always you can click here for larger (and extra) versions of these photos. enjoy!

I love the way she put that shelf near the top of the window – that would stop my curious cats eating my plants…

If anyone is eyeing that silver vintage lamp in the living room, Holly @ Decor8 posted about Pico Modern Furnishings in LA last week. Looks like a dead-ringer!

Definitely worth the trip! ferdinand home is one of my very favorite shops in the US. Visit there every time I’m in Maine as it has very unique items. Diane is a very sweet, talented woman with a great whimsical eye!

This makes me miss Diane and Ron soooo much!!! California’s loss, Maine’s gain, but it seems that you’re all loving them just fine out there. xxx
