well, i thought i’d start posting today like always but something wonderful happened this weekend and i decided to take the day off to travel and enjoy my first real week….being engaged!
that’s right- ac and i are getting married! this weekend, in front of my family and his family, ac proposed and i said yes! most of the night was a blur for me but i remember crying, being totally and completely shocked and then being so thrilled to look across the table and see our families right there with us. it was the most special night and little details are slowly starting to come back to me. i remember wondering why ac wanted so much room between our chairs at the table (so he had room to get down on one knee) and then listening to him propose while “you are my sunshine” played in the background (the o brother where art thou version). it was one of the most amazing nights of my life and i’m just so happy. after almost four and a half years together i can’t imagine spending the next eighty-four with anyone else. so today i’m taking the day off to travel to portland and enjoy every second of being engaged to the love of my life.
i’ll be back tomorrow with today’s regular posts- the rest of the week will follow as always, with tuesday’s product roundups being spread between thursday and friday. thanks for indulging my little personal time out and thank you for being a part of both of our lives for the past 3 and a half years. xo, d*s.
