hable construction chairs

1190.jpg
today is all about before and afters, but to be honest, it’s hard for me not to write a glowing ode to all things seattle today. after a whirlwind tour of the city in what has to be the best weather ever (sunny, cool and clear) i’ve fallen in love with a city i previously associated only with the movie singles, eddie vedder and the real world seattle. it’s hard to pick a favorite moment from yesterday but top of the list would be learning to catch a massive salmon the size of my torso as it was thrown at me by the fisherman at pike place market. and yes, amy took pictures- and video. so tune in next week for a hysterical clip of my first hour in seattle. thank goodness i didn’t leave smelling like salmon.

so, before i get too deep into my trip out here (that will come next week), i wanted to kick off the day with these gorgeous chairs upholstered in hable construction fabric that belong to lisa wong jackson of good on paper design. lisa used some extra fabric from joy and then her studio-mate jacinta from allymoon upholstered them! just a little sunny “after” project to start thursday (the cutie on the chair is lisa’s pup, pixel).

I’m so jealous! I hope that you were able to sample all of the wonderful food in Seattle as well! I miss all of the bakeries. I’m just counting my days in CT until I can move back to Seattle.

Does anyone know where you can purchase Hable Construction fabric online? You cannot on their website. Thanks!

Is there an online source for buying Hable fabrics?? Their site looks like it only sells wholesale.

As someone from Seattle, I’m going to have to balk at the Real World reference.

It was much hated by the locals!

Glad you had a great time though, Seattle’s a wonderful town.

hi guys

hable construction is available to the trade only. i’ve mentioned this before when we talk about hable, but just to reiterate- you can always call your local design center to order it for you or hire a local interior designer and pay a small fee for them to order the fabric for you. it’s totally worth it- their fabric is incredible.

I am absolutely in love with that dog! I can’t tell if it’s a Boston Terrier or a French Bulldog.

Thanks for shedding some light on how amazing Seattle can be.

I’m so glad you like Seattle, Grace. All my friends in New York who have been there or that I bring home with me hate it. You’re damn lucky with the weather too. I went back in August and it rained for 7 days!

aww, i recently moved back to chicago after being in seattle for 5 years. i do miss it, but don’t be fooled by the weather - there are MANY months of icky grey! sounds like you lucked out :)

i went to seattle last summer and lucked out with great weather too… it’s an amazing city. we went to this spot for drinks:

http://www.vesselseattle.com/

which you should check out if you have a chance. i *loved* the interior, even if the vibe was a bit pretentious.

Welcome to Seattle! Be careful…it’s dangerously easy to fall in love with this place.
