Grace,

I was a grad student at SCAD last year and attended your presentation during design week. (I could just kick myself for not introducing myself!) I just wanted to tell you congrats on your engagement (I think it is so wonderful you have chosen Savannah as your wedding site)!

I take it back, transport me there :) I’ve always dreamed of floor to ceiling windows. And the pooch would be great company!

I had my wedding in Savannah. Outdoors, in Whitefield Square. Forsyth Park is another good location. You just need a permit … I think it was about $200.

We had our reception at the 17Hundred90’s Inn - and it was FANTASTIC. It was a 1/2 mile from the wedding location and we rented one of those white trolley buses to drive everyone there.

Email me for more info if you’d like … Since I went through the planning in Savannah process already.

Hi Grace,

Have a look at architect Malcolm Davis (www.mdarch.net) for work similar to page goolrick.

The museum where I work has the largest enclosed public garden in Savannah, so it’s a really popular venue for weddings. We just had one today! I wonder if I won’t see you around.

Hi Grace…congrats! My best friend got married in Savannah a couple of years ago in November…a gorgeous time of year there!
Her reception was at the Marshall House…they did a fantastic job! The food was amazing and the decor was beautiful. http://www.marshallhouse.com
The whole wedding party stayed there…it was such a fantastic destination wedding.

Congratulations on your Savannah wedding! We got married there in 2000. (We both went to SCAD.) Photography by Lori http://www.photographybylori.com/ did our photos and they were BEAUTIFUL. So kind and subtle, they made the day even better. And the best tasting cakes in town are from Savannah Rum Runners http://www.savannahrumrunners.com/ . They can do any design you’d like, they were fantastic to work with. I cannot reccommend the butter pound cake enough. Delish!

Good luck with your wedding scouting in Savannah! We had our wedding here and loved every minute of it. We’ve now made Savannah (and SCAD) home. Would love to give you recommendations if you need them.
