a little worn in

this morning i’m finally starting to feel mostly recovered from my bout with the flu earlier this week. but i’m still in that “comfy” mode where i want to stay in soft pajamas and work from the bed. thankfully i was able to drag myself out long enough to catch up on work, book my hotel and get ready to fly out to LA for next week’s biz ladies meetup. but since i’m still home for a few more days, i’m relishing all things comfortable and worn in- like this beautiful bench from barb at knack studios. she also rehab-ed this beautiful dresser and gave it a gorgeous coat of bright blue paint. it makes me want to find a comfy pair of overalls and repaint some of my old flea market finds out in the hallway. click here for more information on knack studios.

Speaking of LA Biz Ladies night… I just moved from LA & will be driving down & staying in a hotel in order to attend. I had NO idea where to book & found Expedia’s picks downright depressing (both design & price). Then without much hope I checked out Tablet.com & found the Custom Hotel. Dog portrait bedspreads & ipod docks for $140 a night! Not much to walk to except a great grocery store, but you’re 5 min from LAX & 5 min from all that Venice has to offer (Beverly Hills is 30 min w/good traffic). Just wanted to share : )

There is nothing more thrilling then finding something old and making it look it’s prime again! People always wonder what I am going to do with “that piece of junk?” Then they are blown away with its beauty in the end!

Love this post!
