I really love that the first item in her shop uses 1960’s Bloomingdales’ floral sheets that I have vintage from my parents trousseau! So cute

There is something about napkins made out of second hand (bed) sheets that does not quite seem to fit together. they are cute. but the whole concept grosses me out a bit.

hi julie –

it may seem a little odd, but all of the sheets i use are washed very well in warm water, with a natural enzyme cleaner in with the detergent. and then they are dried in the sun, which definitely kills any stray bacteria/weird stuff. and when i’m shopping for materials, i don’t choose anything with any odd stains…..:)

and of course you could always go with the coasters or placemats or tablecloths, if that seems less off-putting. ;)
