looking for solid gold colored Pyrex dishes and don’t know what they actually look like. Please send photo if you have these. Guessing the years would have been around 1965

We have our Pyrex Museum in Bremerton, WA. I still have yet to visit there. I collect old Pyrex, I love the light turquoise colors from the late 60’s the most! I got VERY lucky one day and found, at Value Village (it’s a second-hand store in town) a Pyrex Flameware 9-cup coffee percolator, in near mint condition (hardly used), all parts present. I paid only $6.00 for it!!!!! Apparently the store price setters had no clue what it was. I have a hard time finding the filters for it, so I got some on eBay. After finding that treasure, my fiancee found me a Flameware teapot to go with my coffee pot.

Another great source of old Pyrex is estate sales. People want to just get rid of their deceased loved one’s possessions and sadly they don’t care what they get for them. Got me a very large brown Cinderella bowl with the gold design on it for 75 cents! I found a child’s circus clown cereal bowl at Goodwill for 99 cents. Can’t locate one on eBay at all. My next quest is to find the turquoise and white refrigerator dishes with the clear ribbed lids. More estate sales and Goodwill trips on my agenda!

There’s a great little store in downtown Bremerton, WA (just a ferry ride away from Seattle!) that boasts a Pyrex Museum. It’s a wall of Pyrex — definitely a spot for Pyrex touristing! I think the stash is now either in the art gallery at the corner of 4th and Pacific or at Simply Renewed Antiques.

I’ve been using my grandmothers vintage pyrex since i moved out of my parents house when i was 17. I used to loath it when I was a kid, but these days, I am so grateful I kept it. Besides loving the simple funky design, I love that it doesn’t break and I have more then a complete set.

so i know this post was about the pyrex, but i’m a big fan of the frames pictured. I’m always searching for more frames like these (antique markets, ebay, etc) but i’ve had very little luck, can anyone suggest an affordable source to purchase frames like these?

Amazing! I’m so glad to see a love for vintage pyrex! I actually own the first pictured set. They were handed down to me from my mom when I left for college. They have probably been used on a daily basis since the day they were bought and are still in stellar condition. Gotta love that pyrex!!
