weekly wrap up + savannah + GMA

it’s been a busy week here at d*s and today ac and i are heading off to savannah for a much needed break and a little wedding-location scouting. i’ll be blogging from savannah on monday and tuesday so stay tuned for some photos of the places we’re checking out while down in georgia. in the meantime, i’ll be posting a link to the good morning america segment i filmed as soon as it’s up, along with the date and time it will air on tv! i better run and finish packing so i’ll see you all on monday from sunny savannah. until then, here’s a summary of this week’s highlights. Ah, just read that you will be in Savannah this weekend. You and your fiance should check out SCAD’s open studio night. http://www.scad.edu/about/news/topstories/2008/032608.cfm

All the grad painters have their studios open and work for sale. If you like shopscad, you’ll like this, always an event. Enjoy Savannah!

Hello Grace, looking forward to hearing about your trip to Savannah. Enjoy! My fiancĂ© will be spending our honeymoon in Savannah in early May and would love to get good recommendations on eats and places to stay. Isn’t it great being engaged? I’m excited for you. This has been such a special time in my life.

Oh, that paper is perfect - just the right amount of zest, I want to live in it and wear it. My favorite color.
One of my walls needs this.
Reminds me of the paper I had in my room growing up.

Oh!!! Enjoy Savannah! From the comments, I take it that you’re getting married in Savannah? It’s such a beautiful city. It’s been 2 years since I’ve been back but I miss it all the time. I went to SCAD for Interior Design. :) I hope you have a wonderful time! It’s the perfect time of year to be there!

I just posted a big long thing about my upcoming Savannah wedding on the “things I love” page - so I won’t repeat myself too much here :-) …but I am so happy that you’re getting married there! Anyone getting married in Savannah soon: I have tons of advice on vendors etc. (and tons of wedding stuff to sell after May 3rd!) http://naomimarriesmike.com

Aww, you just missed us.

We just opened a store that you might have been interested in. In fact, the opening was just this past Saturday (to coincide with Savannah’s Earth Day). Stop by if you’re in town next!
