About a year ago, I sold my beloved invitation line, Abby Jean, to Haile McCollum, owner and creative designer of Fontaine Maury…an absolutely adorable line of stationery and accoutrements. I knew that Haile would take good care of my baby and I couldn’t have been more excited to pass the torch.
Haile just happens to be one of those women, one of those entrepreneurs even, that I am forever envious of…she is chic and sophisticated in that easy, approachable way. Her work seems to come organically, based on a sweet, timeless aesthetic using color palettes that are feminine and charming…

Knowing that Haile finds great passion in many areas of design, I was so excited to see the pictures of her incredible Georgian home. And I wasn’t disappointed. This is a home out of a movie…Southern charm at its finest.

The interior of this gorgeous home is a perfect balance of fresh design and timeless elegance. Most of the pieces that Haile has have been passed down from family members and brought to life with pretty paint colors and contemporary accessories…

Tidbits to note…That great carved basswood deer head (above) was bought at her sister’s homegoods store Firefly in Thomasville/ The zebra chairs were purchased for under $50 and recovered and the red corduroy sofa was found at a junk shop in Savannah / That amazing dining room chandelier is from Circa Lighting…a perfect modern touch in a traditional setting / The bed in her little boy’s room, was actually Haile’s first bed as a child / The silhouette wallpaper in the bathroom is a custom design by Fontaine Maury and has her family’s silhouettes incorporated into the pattern.
I am completely in love with this home. It is a home in the most personal way…with intimate touches sprinkled throughout a magazine worthy design. This is one that I would move into…and never leave. And not surprisingly, the papers and designs at Fontaine Maury and now Abby Jean, are much the same. Timeless in simplicity, yet current in sensibility.
