whew! after four days at the javits center i’m ready to say goodbye to overhead lighting and the endless rows of icff and the other trade shows. this will be my final installment for icff, so if you missed any of the other parts you can follow these links to the rest: icff part one, part two, part three, part four. thank you to everyone who stopped to chat with us at the show and thank you to this year’s designers for their hard work and beautiful designs.

these beautiful vases look like carefully crafted ceramic vessels in person, but when you pick them up you’ll find they’re actually made of a light, durable rubber. bonus? they’re affordably priced, too (i’m missing my note but they were under $20 each). designed by the mighty bearcats (quite the name) of chicago.

seriously scary plates and a beautiful wooden seat from the ex49 booth…

canvas bag-on-bag designs from emma at showpony.

wallpaper from the ferm living booth…

ceramic plates from lucyod, re-silicone and visuallyod.

plastic animal rings from soop design- the makers of my favorite coffee mugs ever.

fuzzy green massaging ‘moss pencils’ from i’m curio co. ltd.

metal serving tray from pad outdoor.

this clever umbrella stand is from kyousei design. using the runoff water from dripping umbrellas, kyousei design created a small opening where the excess water would allow moss to grow at the bottom. such a fun idea.

ceramic magnets and salt and pepper shakers from daniel jo.

beautiful bags and purses from elvira vroomen…

new york water tower ceramics from cul de sac…

in addition to being a card-carrying member of the tom dixon fan club, i’m also a big fan of yves behar. his glass and marble tables for hbf were a study in simplicity and letting the beauty of the materials shine. also shining? his seriously awesome shoes with flashy silver heels. loved them.

lovely tables at the dune booth (too bad their booth staff didn’t have attitudes to match these lovely tables. i don’t think they even said hello or goodbye- let alone made eye contact- when i asked for a press kit)

wallpaper at the graham and brown booth…
