float paperie

since ac and i finally have a date for our wedding next year we get to start the fun that is creating a save-the-date card. i’m still trying to tackle things on my own (we’ll see how well that goes), but i’m always looking around at wedding stationery to see if perhaps there’s something that might inspire a wedding project or just inspire me to hire someone to do our stationery instead. right now i’m loving these pieces from andrea tahlier at float paperie in chicago. that marquee-style font is so, so cool. it doesn’t quite fit our southern gothic wedding theme but if we were getting married in new york or even los angeles this would totally fit a cool ‘glam’ theme. andrea has traditional stationery available as well as custom wedding work- click here to check out her full collection and contact float.

Have you looked at weddingpaperdivas.com? They have some great stuff, and a letterpress section, too!

These cards here are fabulous, though!

By the way, congratulations on your engagement!

These are fantastic. Reminiscent of old movie Marquees :)

Oh, it’s Budmo Jiggler! It’s a free font by Ray Larabie and you can get it here:

That font immediately struck me too, but I saw it here: http://fluidmovement.org/ (when I decided to sign up to be a part of the crazy water ballet) :)

I love weddingpaperdivas.com, as mentioned above. We had a fancy schmancy after-party at the symphony where I work and they made us the most wonderful invitations. Thay are fast too!

I got my inspiration from BellaFigura.com, DauphinePress.com, HelloLucky.com and PaperMonkey.com. Beautiful designs, amazing products, and quite inspiring! Letterpress was out of my budget, but since I have a design and printing background, I was still able to create something beautiful and save some dough by having my own designs laser printed. Best part - the final product was awesome, and the average viewer had no idea they came off a laser printer!

That font is called Budmo—I have seen it used on a couple of productions and invitations. Very nice.
