I collect vintage “bon point” tickets(I have hundreds of them) - they are given to french school children - like we used to get gold stars(if we had been good students!) You can find many beautiful vintage ones at the paris flea markets - and they are all very pretty and unique!

Ooo: the “bon point” tickets really remind me of the old version of the card game mille bornes. Love it!

hi fiona! i guess i could kinda figure that from all the things that were on the table, lots of school-y type stuff, but i wasn’t sure. Thanks for explaining it to me!

I rarely got any stars, and got lots of frowny faces in school, occasionally getting a straight face or a half smile. Sarcasm from 1st graders wasn’t hip in the Nashville of yesteryear. I wonder if it has gained popularity these days…

Oh those tickets above are gorgeous! They almost look like they could double as bookplates.

Was the top photograph taken in a little shop in St Paul’s village? If so, it is my favourite shop in the world!

I have scanned in some of those items and posted them at my Flickr group:

hey Emme, I know the store you mean on Rue St Paul. Its amazing. I have bought piles of vintage cahiers and bon-points….also amazing french ephemera, linens and kitchen stuff. Did you know there is a stall at the Vernaisson(Marche au Puce, Clingancourt)that sells almost the same selection of vintage wares(but at market prices)

Yes, that is the shop. It is called Au Petit Bonheur La Chance.

Oh yes, I went to those markets just recently for the first time! It was so unutterably amazing and inspiring!

I also discovered a cute little shop in Montmartre which is definitely worth a visit if you haven’t been before - full of intriguing odds and ends - called Tombées du Camion…

Is your collection online? Would love to see!

Yup , that’s the store, I have their business card on my bulletin board.
Tombess du Camion looks fabulous too.

I’ll send you some pix ;-)
