calling cards

business_mixed_greens_150.jpg
it took me a good 3 years to get my own business cards but now that i have them i’m always checking out other people’s to see what sort of designs and ideas they’re using. there’s something about working with that limited amount of space that really gets my head working. so when kariann sent over this fun new line of read-made, customizable calling cards from her friend eric kass at funnel paper goods i couldn’t resist sharing (i also couldn’t resist eric’s gift wrap a few years ago). there’s a great faux bois option (which reminded of me yesterday’s faux bois doormat) and a cool burlap/orange treatment that would be fun to test out. i’d like to have some of the text layouts be a little cleaner and simpler but i think there are definitely some fun options here. click here to view the full selection and order.

I’m on the market for some personal cards and these are lovely, but gosh, that’s pricey - $250 for 500 and they’re not even custom/private designs. I’m having more luck on Etsy. Thanks for highlighting the new designs though - they’re fun to look at!

It’s nice to see ready made designs that aren’t so stodgy, but I agree, the text could be a bit cleaner.

Another fun idea for calling cards are play date calling cards for new moms.

I really love these - they definitely fall in line very well with my graphic aesthetic. Yes, pricey - but that may be due to the printing process and low quantity.

I love these! It is great to have a design on the back of the page. So nice. Thanks for sharing.

The flip side detail is fun and unexpected.

Great designs!
Another adorable line of calling cards are from my dear friend Baron Von Freckle (don’t you love the name!). There is a line and bespoke:

I like the blue linen texture graphic. And I think that’s a great price for full color offset printing. You can certainly get cheaper cards… but the print quality is not going to be as nice I suspect. There are a lot of color laser options, and it has come a long way, but it still doesn’t compare to fine printing.
