it’s back to work now that i’m home and i thought it would be great to kick off the day with these fantastic embroidered pieces and vintage finds from charlotte casadejus. based in borough market london, the charlotte casadejus design studio uses vintage fabrics and embroidery from france to create contemporary pieces for the home like cushions, bolsters, lavender bags etc. i love their monogrammed cushions in particular (my mom has several antique monograms at home and they always remind me of her) and the fantastic collection of vintage textiles and accessories. helen from the studio also mentioned that they’re very conscious of reusing and recycling as much as possible- using nearly every scrap of fabric they have rather than wasting any extras. charlotte casadejus recently launched an online shop that you can check out right here. thanks to helen for sending this over!

[ps: i love this- shelly's top ten diy recyclables you should never pass up at a fleamarket. so fun.]

WOW. Those pillows are really stunning. And I just love the Goodwill Hunting list. Perfect for summer junking!

Reminds me of my childhood & my grandmother’s beautiful embroidered pieces.

Oh, I am a sucker for vintage jewelry, and those little bags are wonderful too. Not that I have a chance to wear them often, but they always take my breath away. I have a small collection of beautiful pieces my grandmother gave to me that belonged to her aunt, Aunt Viola. Wore a set of sparkling leaves in my hair that used to be some sort of buckle for my wedding along with a double strand of real pearls that look just like my favorite vintage fake pearl necklace.

I really like the painting above the bed. Does anyone know the artist?

This is glorious.
It’s beautiful, inspiring, and I love the photos showing the texture. Thanks!
