Way cool! I could totally see these as room dividers (like in a dorm, or shared teen/kid, or even to separate an apartment or first floor space into more distinct functional areas, like dining or music or study).

I used to work at the Baltimore Museum of Art and we featured an artist who did similar work and it was all hand cut. Every single cut. They are beautiful in person and make my hands cramp just thinking about all of work that goes into them. Lovely!

Last year I was able to meet a Brazilian designer who made an incredible work on paper to the Sao Paulo fashion weeek. his name is Jum Nakao (http://www.jumnakao.com.br/) and the name of this work is ” a costura do invisivel ” I hope you like it, I think Magic. (sorry, my English is not very good)

That is so breath-taking! I love the textures and the 3-D qualities!

September 10th, 2008 - 9:47 am

wow! thanks so much everyone!
they are all made from cut paper, each cut by hand and most of it was rolled up so I couldn’t really see what the pattern before or after was – sort of like blind drawing but with an exacto knife. i would love to make more!

Oh, wow! This is absolutely stunning!!! I wish I could see it in person.
