Yes I’m also dying to know who is the artist of those portaits! Stunning work; I wonder whose home it is or if it was a studio set up… I love it. (also the photographer’s name is spelled James Merrell) lots of more great photographs on his website: http://www.jamesmerrell.co.uk/
I love how some of these images fade in and out of the intertube but never really die, like that first image that I have been admiring for months now. LOVE IT!

The artist is Tretchikoff sometimes referred to as Tretchiko.
i have a painting called the tretchiko published around 1949-1951
