So glad to see this post on John Murphy’s art — I have one of his pieces and absolutely love it! Photos don’t come close to doing them justice; his work is even more beautiful in person.

i met john at the flea. not only does he do beautiful work, he’s the nicest guy :)

I think I like this print, but I feel utterly distracted by the huge, bright, and sort of random picture frames! They look like they’re cropping off the very edges of the image, and the shadow around the edges of this seemingly small print bugs me. The combination of print and frame is not working for me at all, although I love the pieces separately.
