miriam bereson planner

mb_wall_planner_for_web.jpg
as much as i love calendars, i tend to be someone who only window shops for the paper variety. i find the digital versions (i’m addicted to my google calendar) much more practical for me. but this new 2009 wall planner from miriam bereson might be just the excuse i needed to switch back to paper. this 16 x 38 inch calendar uses a beautiful range of pink and bronze hues and is available for pre-order right here for only $15 (calendars should arrive the last week of september). last year’s calendar sold out quickly so be sure to pick up this year’s quickly if you’re interested. [thanks adam and miriam]

I love the look, but I definitely wouldn’t like the fact that every single day was up all year round. I tend to be one of those kind of people that scribbles and scrawls out things all over the place… the standard, ugly, but practical desk calendar works for me - plus the added bonus of doodle space!

oh i love this. in a funny way it reminds me of those light up tokyo flash watches. the colors are spot on & i really love the non-tradional approach to telling time. really very clever.

Wow- I’m not sure I’ve ever seen a calendar quite like this, and I LOVE it! It would be neat to see all of the events that had occurred that year. :)

Gah, I can’t do digital calendars. It’s like, I need to write something down to remember it, and I need to be able to carry it with me. So I use a pocketbook. A PDA or BlackBerry just doesn’t feel the same. Plus that’s so many buttons, so many small screens, so many digital things demanding my attention…

// end soapbox

I love this calendar though!

Ooh gloat moment, I was in the Miriam Bereson concept store in Ripponlea, Melbourne (a great melbourne designer not mentioned in the regional round-up)! buying the most wonderful magnets some 4 months ago when I got talking to Miriam’s partner and I passed on the Design Sponge blog details. Im so pleased to see you featuring her work and would love to see more of her unique cards and magnets. Miriam has been designing fantastic decorative stationary items for years (best photo album I have ever owned)!

At home we have the 2007 and 2008 versions, such gorgeous colour combinations! We’ve put the 2007 one in a keepsake drawer as it has our son’s birth and various milestones (first smile!) circled…we can’t bare to throw it away! :)
