bride and wolfe

i’m still a little sleepy this morning so i thought i’d kick things off with a little eye candy from miranda at bride and wolfe. she recently introduced this hummingbird design ($65 US, $95 AUS) into her collection of beautiful silhouette designs. you can click here to view more of her work (my favorite is still the deer in the wooded wonderland below).

Beautiful silhouette, and the photo styling is well done and very evocative.

I hate to say, but I immediately thought of tord boontje as well. At least with the deer and flora piece.

Hi Lea and Doris,
you can find the wallpaper online here:
http://www.wallpaperstore.com/
Isn’t it awesome!

Also fmcaree -thanks for your observation! I definitely give a hearty nod to Tord B as do many others- he is a master who has influenced the whole recent (unnamed) nature silhouette movement… it’s impossible to shut out the things that inspire and influence – to me it’s about filtering and then creating something new and different to give a new joy to people! – and moving onwards and upwards! :)

I agree with my fellow commenters — this is beyond Boontje-inspired, it is straight out of the Boontje playbook. Beautiful but too close to the original for me to fully enjoy this artist’s work.

I just love these so much! I don’t mind who they’ve been inspired by – I’ve never seen cut-out wall hangings in wood like these before , I think they are fresh and gorgeous …

hi guys,
I’ve done some research and apparently that wallpaper is no longer available at the website above, the website has very similar ones (but not exactly the same- grrrr!) …my friend whose home we photographed is also sad as she’d love to get some more!
