nest: amy rice and terrence payne

last month my friend susan alerted me to a pretty cool project taking place within the historic alcoa house in minnesota. minneapolis artists amy rice and terrence payne decided, in collaboration with sotheby’s real estate group, to create a join exhibition within the alcoa home called nest. amy and terrence translated their work from 2d form into three dimensional objects like furniture to outfit the living space within the home. the goal is to create a live-able art installation that allows viewers to move through the home and experience the artists’ work first-hand. the final results are now up and amy posted some fantastic photos on her flickr site that i had to share. you can read more about amy and terrence’s next project right here, or view the full flickr slideshow right here. [thanks, amy!]

WOW WOW WOW!!!! I love the first photo. But the entire home is to die for.
If there was a heaven, that would be it.
It is simple, elegant, and clean.

And oh so girlish.
le sigh.. I WANT IT!

Great creative lighting. Is the chandelier in the bird cage or in front of it?
