new: satsuma press 2009 calendar

lynn at satsuma press just released a beautiful new calendar for 2009. titled ‘pattern + texture’, satsuma’s new letterpress calendar was inspired by lynn’s love of japanese textiles and vintage fabrics. last year’s calendar sold out quickly so for 2009 lynn is printing 350-400 copies- so be sure to order yours before this batch is gone. each 100% cotton paper calendar is available for pre-order (via email right here!) for $40 (plus $5 for domestic shipping). and if your purchase is a holiday gift lynn will include a gift card and is happy to write your message for you and send directly to your recipient (for an additional $7). [ps: after november 1st calendar prices will raise to $44 so order now if you'd like the $4 discount!]

ps: thanks so much to tina at the metro paper for this kind story on d*s today!

I am looking for a beautiful calendar like this–but one with blocks I can write in. Has anyone seen any? If you do, please post the link in comments–thanks!

I’m in the same boat as Veeta! These look so tranquil and beautiful.

Gorgeous! Too bad my calendar is electronic now.

Gorgeous! Even if this calendar doesn’t work in all the ways you need [like having spaces to write in], you could buy it to frame the lovely illustrations. $40 for a series of 12 prints is a great bargain.

Pretty funny to see d*s on the bus today here in Boston! I never pick up the Metro but today was a very grumpy day in busland and I was right next to a pile of Metros, so I picked one up, saying oh, alright, you silly little paper, I will read you. And there were some fun surprises within, including Ms. design*sponge!

Oh my gosh, how breathtakingly beautiful and simple. THIS is a calendar I would buy even though I couldn’t use it for anything other than display.
