new: hygge and west

i’m so excited to post the launch of a great new e-shop: hygge and west. created by christiana (of ferm living) and aimee, hygge and west carries a well curated-selection of design objects created especially for the shop. christiana and aimee wanted to collaborate with artists and designers to help them produce items that they’ve always wanted to make. they encouraged each artist to express was “hygge” (which is the danish word for something that creates warmth and comfort) means to them. because aimee and christiana are interested in creating a connection between artists and customers, they’ve asked each artist to answer a series of fun questions which are shown next to their work on the site.

there are many incredible artists in the shop (like jessica rust, ruth cross, and ivana helsinki) but my favorite pieces in the new shop belong to julia rothman. julia’s designs have been turned into six colorful wallpapers that you can buy in double-roll form for $125. wallpaper prices can be really crazy these days so i was excited to see that the prices are reasonable and perfect for creating an accent wall at home (or using for a craft project!). you can view julia’s full collection and shop online right here.

congrats to christiana and aimee on their new shop, click here for more information and to shop online.

Hmm, the first and third wallpapers would give me a headache, but I adore the second and fourth! I also really dig the home decor objects. Great style.

Wow – I love all the wallpapers! And those ceramic tumblers, too! They are going on my christmas list.

Looks like it’s time to start doing some holiday shopping! I especially love the Julia Rothman wallpapers and the Ivana Helsinki goods.

Yay! I love it! So beautiful. I just wished I owned my own home. I’d wallpaper the whole thing.

Cool new site. Does anyone know where to find the clear/lucite desk shown in the first photo?

I am so happy to be a part of this project! Aimee and Christiana are truly some of the kindest people i’ve had the opportunity to work with/for!

Congrats to them on a job well done!

Wow, thank you for all the lovely comments, and thank you for such a nice post, Grace!

Oh, and the desk/table is from CB2 :)

I love Julia Rothman’s drawings/patterns line quality and colors.
But, looking at the photo mockups (I think they are visualizations?) I wonder though if these lovely designs are too busy as wallpaper.

It’s like – I want a little piece of each pattern to covet, but on a wall I go down the rabbit hole ;)

Thank you Grace for posting this! And thank you everyone for your comments. I have wanted to be able to offer wallpaper on rolls for so long and feel so lucky that Hygge & West has made that happen for me. xo
