So fresh! I would love to know where the fabric is from?

Omigosh I love it! How come I never find any great telephone tables when I’m walking around? :( So far only a little step ladder, although I would love to make that over…

I honestly have to say that I’m not crazy about the stark white paint…but it was a great “before” find….

Why can’t I find cool pieces of furniture ? Sooo jealous…

I agree with Get Togetha. I’m getting really bored with everyone painting furniture and cabinets white and thinking it’s a big design makeover.

This is great! I love old telephone tables. They remind me of my grandmother’s house.

That’s a really cute piece of furniture! Wouldn’t have chosen to paint it white though, it looks a little too fresh and new…

Little hard to tell in the picture. But the paint is actually a robins egg blue. Sorry for the bad lighting.

Oh forgot to mention…

The fabric can be found on http://www.etsy.com in various colors. enjoy.

I really like it, giving me some ideas for my just purchased telephone table. Joel Dewberry has some faux bois fabric.

oooh! I found a telephone table at the goodwill a few months ago, and have been waiting for some great inspiration on what to do with it. Yay! I’ll be sure to send my before and after pictures too!

Just a note to add, my mom has found great material at flee markets, second hand stores and antiques shops were people put there things on consignment.

I really think you should go back and paint it something other than white. I have similar fabric, and I think a great high gloss orange or muted, metallic gold would be really cool. I too am so bored with white.

The problem with this is that the photograph should have been styled better. If the piece had been placed against a darker wall with interesting accessories you probably all would have loved it. No contrast to create drama. Very bad choice of styling I’d say.

i love this! what finish paint did you use? did you paint the detail in a darker color or tried not to paint it?

Definitely blue, it’s set against white so it’s pretty obviously NOT white…great find! It would be so great to have a vintage (or faux vintage) phone on it…great job, it looks like new!

hallo! just found your blog. :)
And what a coincidence. I’m sending a photo of our telephone bench which we found on the sidewalk. See how much it looks like the one here.

Near mint condition, btw. But we won’t be making it over.

That said, I like what was done in this makeover, except for the seat covering.

kudos on the fabric choice. im so sick of mod onion pods and leafy vines. but yeah the paint color could’ve been better.

I love the pale pale blue. This looks lovely and fresh. And this piece, revised as it is here, has some wit to it that I find very charming.

Love it! So cute and original, what a find! I’m glad someone touched it up.

Does no one appreciate beautiful wood any longer? It seems that a makeover could also imply restoring the wood- sanding does miracles to revive the material to its almost original state. These makeovers simply put a coat of color and cover up the natural beauty of the pieces.

Is everyone a porfessional here? It’s a beautiful piece. Before and after. why all of the nose in the air comments? YOu would think the blog was called designsnob!
