johnny and stacie + the oak leaves

trends come and go so quickly these days but there’s a part of me that’s always drawn to a nice woodgrain print. obviously not done to overkill, but used sparingly i don’t think i’ll ever grow tired of the trend. so these cute little woodgrain coasters ($5) and cards ($3) from johnny and stacie at etsy are right up my alley- just in time for holiday gift wrapping and perfect for dropping a little note in the mail to say hi.

also, when i was browsing johnny and stacie’s blog i came across these beautiful, beautiful handmade terrariums from christina at the oak leaves on etsy. her beautiful terrariums are anywhere from $10-$55 and would make such sweet gifts for your friend who has everything. click here to check out christina’s shop and pick up one of these pretty packages.

ps: if you’re looking for a diy terrarium option click here for lauren and derek’s super cute do-it-yourself terrarium project.

what a great use of the Martinelli’s apple juice bottle. I think I might be inspired to make my own. When we were in Portland, terrariums were all over the place. (the climate there makes the city sort of like a giant one) this is a 70’s trend I’m happy to see return.

That little terrarium is delightful! It takes me right back to the days of looking for salamanders under rocks and making gnome houses!
