before & after: bonnie’s footstool

this fun before and after comes from artist and teacher bonnie van voorst. she decided to reupholster a footstool of her grandmother’s with a coat of paint and a cheerful fabric from ikea. you can’t beat an inexpensive and easy makeover. thanks, bonnie!

Perfect fabric choice–the organic shapes in the print echo the shape of the stool’s legs. I’ve always wished I were handy enough to do something with that fabric–love it!
