lilak collection

i’m still reeling from last night’s american idol results* (spoiler alert: don’t read the rest if you didn’t see last night’s results show) so i thought i’d distract myself with some beautiful paper clocks from maiko at decoylab design studio. some are embossed (swoon) and some are screenprinted, but each one is a beautiful piece of artwork for the wall. click here to check out the full collection and shop ($30 each) online.

*anoop, you were robbed! you had me at your dreamy boyz II men audition. i’ll miss your voice and preppy outfits.

I loved Anoop, too! I had such high hopes. But you gotta be happy for Danny.

I agree – I LOVED Anoop. I swooned during the auditions when he told us his thesis was something like “Sociocultural implications of KC BBQ.”

I was hoping for Anoop to be in the top three too! oh well… maybe he’ll get a chance with the wild card… anyway… these clocks are very cute!

i miss anoop so much. i liked the texan guy, but i think anoop stood a far better chance of sticking around for a while. i hate when america gets to vote. that’s when people like sanjaya happen. the good singers who are talented but quiet always lose out.

Totally agree about Anoop! I like the guy they put thru instead, but Anoop was more talented ( I thought). I am actually kinda disappointed with the show this year. New host, new format?..I dunno if it’s working. What do you guys think? And why didn’t they keep Jamar?!

I’m sooo bummed for Anoop!!
*fingers crossed* for the wild card

oh man, don’t get me started on jamar. can he come back as a wildcard? it killed me to see that young girl who ruined the taylor swift song there, and not jamar. what??

and man did that rachel bilson look-alike girl get gutted. i felt so bad for her- she didn’t do a great job but dang- i don’t think i could have stood up there and not dissolved until a puddle of tears.

I also love that clocks… so simple and pale, that is perfect and so original in paper.

Anoop’s ode to 90’s R&B was a breath of fresh air on American Idol. I am SO hoping he’ll make it through as the wildcard pick! I think I yelled NOOOO at the t.v screen last night. I’m clinging to hope now. ;)

I’m SO glad to hear all this support for Anoop!

He and I are good friends from college, and I was so enjoying seeing him on TV every week. Wildcard here we come!

Oh and by the way, his paper on North Carolina barbecue was wonderful.

And the clocks are super cute too.

Anoop was robbed! and we also wonder why Jamar was kicked out.

Yeah talk about surprises! But I think they’ll bring Anoop back for the 4th week. Vocally he totally deserves it.

anoop’s totally my wildcard. it just goes to show that the people the producers showcase with emotional background music have a better shot, whether or not they sing bad versions of dumb gavin de graw songs.

I’m so happy to find American Idol fans here! I like Anoop as well and I voted for him. He has great voice and he is so likable and sincere. He should definitely come back as a wild card.

What a cutie that Anoop is! I was so sad to see him go :( Defiantly keeping those fingers crossed for the wild card!

These clocks are just as great as Anoop! One of each please!

These are lovely. Wish I’d seen them when I was pulling images for my weekly blog post. This latest edition focuses on clocks, in honor of Daylight Savings Time this Sunday. Don’t forget to “spring ahead” an hour. Just do it in style on a beautiful clock!
