Wow indeed Kate! You guys are coming up trumps with gorgeous design pieces at the moment.

The first piece really blows me away with it’s very natural feeling flow. The rulers don’t do it so much for me but I can’t definitely see that Lizzie is one very talented artist!

Holy Toledo! Incredible work!

Haven’t seen anything that cool in quite a while.

February 24th, 2009 - 5:05 pm

Incredible work! her pieces are stunning.

February 24th, 2009 - 6:06 pm

Thank you for all your lovely comments!! I am quite simply bowled over at the response I’m getting.

Eva – I cut the paper by hand, with a lot of patience!

My pieces are going to be featured in Lucky magazine in a few months time which is very exciting.

Oh. My. Gosh. As someone who makes hand cut and usually pretty densely layered paper collages — I thought I knew a little something of intricacy. This kind of detailed, thoughtful and talented work blows any personal delusions of grander I might have had of my own process totally away! I am very meek now… :) Amazing. Thanks so much for sharing!

I love those old folding rulers. I saw a bunch of them at an antiques market recently. I never thought of something so cool as this. The forest rules!!;-)

February 25th, 2009 - 3:11 am

Absolutely stunning! I can only admire that sort of patience (not my forte by any means!) but the end results are SO very worth it.

February 25th, 2009 - 3:27 am

such wonderful work! thanks for sharing.

I love it when i see a really fantastic object so well made, with such care and precision. That kind of craftsmanship seems to be getting more and more rare these days. How inspirational and refreshing…

Oh my, I love these. I got my BA in studio art and focused on book arts, so this is seriously my thing. They’re so beautifully made and you can tell the craft is outstanding. I wish I could reach through my screen and play with the tree book!
