this morning i’m reporting live from the brooklyn courthouse at the foot of the brooklyn bridge. i’ve got jury duty this week so i’ll be writing from my wooden bench while i try really hard not to eat the entire contents of the vending machine outside. because it’s probably not the best idea to start my morning by eating bugles off of my fingertips.

so instead of junk food i thought i’d kick things off this morning with some more coverage of this year’s ny gift fair. i’m a sucker for beautifully printed textiles so i really enjoyed the utility canvas booth and the dermond peterson booth. determond peterson was showcasing some gorgeous pillows with a beautiful ombre design (i love that the pillows are decorated with words that refer to the color of the ink), all hand-printed.

utility canvas had beautiful floor pillows and some great little pouches with sweet printed patterns. i have some weird hard-wired weakness for small canvas bags (but not larger canvas totes for some reason) so these were right up my alley. you can find more information on utility canvas right here, and dermond peterson right here.
