helen friel + aoyama hina

i love helen friel’s work. whenever i look at paper artists’ work it makes me think, “why can’t i make things like that with my scissors?” i look at helen’s beautiful silhouettes and am reminded that if i started cutting i would end up with something that looks more like this. so i was excited to see her new work online this morning. paper cut art is always such a nice way to start the day…

That is truly amazing. I’m sure if I tried that my cutouts would look very similar to yours, Grace!

Papercut art is so mind boggling to me, but one of the genres I appreciate most. I can’t get over some of the intricate designs created by these amazing artists!
