it’s always a good sign when you’re overwhelmed by heartfelt emails from an artist’s friends telling you how talented and amazing she is. such was the case with jeanie nelson of the paper nut. i’ve heard from too many of her very sweet friends to count, each one with a kind email about how wonderful she is as an artist and person. it’s hard to ignore genuine support like that- and even harder when the work in question is this lovely.

jeanie nelson is the founder and designer behind the paper nut, a design studio based in san diego seattle. jeanie studied graphic design at brigham young and then went on to work intern at kate spade (it feels like all of my favorite designers have worked at stint at miss spade’s studio). in november of 2008 she started the paper nut to sell her beautiful letterpressed greeting cards, invitations, custom stationery and announcements. jeanie’s playful way with color and line are what caught my eye and i’m currently deciding which of her cards and tags to take home. it’s hard to pick just one so click here to check out jeanie’s work and shop online. thanks to all of jeanie’s friends who reached out suggested the paper nut.
[ps: there's sweet jewelry for sale at the paper nut's etsy shop, too!]
